What is the National Investment Competition?
The National Investment Competition, also known as the NIC, is an annual competition between various student investment associations. The competition is focused on achieving the best return (adjusted for risk) over a period of 9 months. Each week, a new ranking is determined based on the Sharpe ratio.

Balance
Investing is not without risk, which is why the NIC seeks the student investors who can find the best balance between risk and return with their portfolio.
Competition
The NIC connects all student investment associations in the Netherlands. Every year, one team is crowned the best student investment team of the Netherlands.
Network
At the end of each year, the investment associations come together to look back on the investment year together.
